IFCS Team Update

Fundraising

The fundraising effort at Cynosports was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

  • Raffle $10,262 +/-
  • Shirts $1,716 +/-
  • PitchBurst $1,000 +/-

This is the gross donation amount and I need to remove the costs of tickets, shirts, postage, shipping and artwork and pitchburst rental but I believe that if we sell all the shirts the 3 fundraising events will raise $15,000 plus!

Thank You to ALL the sponsors who donated raffle prizes. See the list of sponsors (and it’s a long one). Without your generosity none of this would have been possible. Thank you on behalf of the 2012 US Team.

Thank You to ALL the people who sold raffle tickets ahead of the event. Those advanced sales accounted for approximately half of the total amount raised.

Thank You to ALL the people who maned the raffle table every day, you were wonderful.

Thank You to ALL the IFCS Competitors who helped run the raffle table every day. I heard so many great things from people who were impressed to see so many of you working at the table each day. It was GREAT to hear these comments. Kudos to you ALL.

I cannot name everyone but a special Thank You must go to Elizabeth Evans who led the shirt committee and designed all the raffle table prize package flyers.

Here is a list of most of the winners (I messed up and should have written a list as they won—so if any of you know who the ??s are let me know).

Fundraising Shirts

Thank You to the artist Shawna Buckley. Knowing that we were on a tight schedule she put in hours and hours of work and updated us on the design so quickly after changes were requested.

Thank You to the shirt committee who’s work helped create a great design.

Thank You to Ken Tatsch and Merlene at USDAA for getting the shirts ordered, made and shipped to Louisville for us to sell.

Thank You to those people who stopped by the booth at the end of Cynosports to take home some shirts to sell. I have the rest of the shirts with me and will be happy to get them out to you if you contact me.

PitchBurst

Thank You to Mary Ellen Barry and Bill Pinder who worked so hard at the PitchBurst each evening.

Thank You to Andy Hartman for finding the PitchBurst and renting it for us.

Thank You to the Judges, Ken Tatsch, USDAA Staff and competitors for being such good sports and and sitting in that chair after working all day. It was a lot of fun and my best memory was seeing Jeannette Hutchison laugh so hard after she got Ken soaked!!!!

Congratulations to all the 2012 IFCS Candidates

My personal thanks goes to Tim Verrelli and George Mariakis who, if they didn’t have enough to do, processed results and points for me each evening so that the 2012 US Team was announced and recognized in Louisville, THANK YOU!

I will post the spreadsheet to the yahoo group for you all to look at.

Thank You to all of you who competed throughout the year hoping to earn a spot on the 2012 team. Through competition comes improvement and having so many handlers/dogs competing for so few spots helps raise the standard of US Agility, which ultimately helps us all to be better and achieve our goals.

As with everything there are always highs and lows. To Angie and Mike the loss of Dylan was so tragic. I am sure you would both gladly give up all the agility wins if you could spend more days and years with her. For some there were tough disappointments with injuries to both dogs and handlers. For others there were personal goals met and passed. It is my hope that everyone gained something positive from the experience.

Congratulations to the 2012 US IFCS Team
