Hello,
As many of you already know 2011 is the qualifying year for the 2012 US IFCS team. This prestigious, world class event is being held in the United States for the first time at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Ft. Worth, TX, on May 11-13, 2012.
We need your help!
This year we are attempting to raise enough money to cover the team’s transportation and lodging expenses. In addition, we hope to be able to have one team practice.
The following events are being organized as fundraisers for the US Team and we hope that you can help be part of this historic event.
Cynosport Raffle
All the IFCS Team candidates (over 130 at last count!!!) and the coach are organizing a GIANT raffle at the 2011 Cynosport World Games in Louisville, KY, this October. People will be able to buy raffle tickets before and at the event. People not attending the October event can have their tickets assigned to the prize(s) of their choice and they will be notified if they win.
If you would like to donate a prize, a gift certificate is a great choice. Gift certificates can be easily mailed to remote winners and pack away easily for winners traveling home after the Games. However, if you wish to donate other prizes, they will be gratefully received. Physical prizes will need to be collected or transported by the winners before the end of the Games.
If you would like to donate a prize to the IFCS Team Raffle at the 2011 Cynosport World Games, please go to the IFCS Team USA website, click on Fundraising and fill out the online form. After filling out the donated prize form you will receive an email for your records. The information will be processed and a list of raffle prizes will be on the team website for people to view.
All clubs, organizations and individuals donating prizes for the raffle will have a link on the team website to their website if that site features information regarding the raffle prize.
In order for people to have time to buy tickets and select the prize(s) of their choice we need to have a full list of prizes by July 1st 2011.
If you would like to donate a prize for the raffle and would like more information please contact Rachel Sanders at IFCSteamcoach@USDAA.com or visit the team website www.IFCSTeamUSA.com.
Cynosports Dunk Tank
There will be a “Dunk Tank” at the 2011 USDAA Cynosport World Games in Louisville, KY. In exchange for a small donation, people will have a chance to sink several of their favorite judges, along members of the USDAA office staff.
International Handler’s Challenge Classes
Another idea for fundraising is for clubs to schedule the new International Handler’s Challenge (IHC) classes as a fundraiser. Clubs holding these classes as a fundraiser are asked to donate between 50% – 100% of the proceeds from those IHC classes. USDAA will donate a matching percentage of its IHC class licensing fees. Information about the IHC class can be found on the USA Team Website http://ifcsteamusa.com/news/ihc-class/ and on the USDAA website http://www.usdaa.com/article.cfm?newsID=1645.
Any money donated to the team from a club hosting an IHC class will be listed on the team website if the club contacts the team coach at IFCSteamcoach@USDAA.com with details.
A separate account has been set up to collect all money for the team. Checks can be made payable to US Association of Cynological Sports. If you wish to be acknowledged on the team website email Rachel Sanders at IFCSteamcoach@USDAA.com with the amount of your donation.
In the interest of full disclosure all monies collected from the raffle and dunk tank will be listed on the website.
Sincerely,
Rachel Sanders
2012 IFCS Team Coach
